MIKA Karate is incredible! This is a program that the entire family can benefit from. We decided to involve our youngest son since he has complex medical needs and socially does not have very many friends. From the time you walk into the building the staff and instructors are consummate professionals listening to your concerns and making sure your child and your family feels like part of the MIKA family! The instructors make these extremely reasonable classes fun for all ages and allow these students to learn not only karate but emphasize character, discipline, confidence, independence, and core values. Each week they discuss a different core value with the students. They maintain high expectations of each student well beyond the dojo. These students go out into their community and apply the core values in their daily lives. Our son has been with the program since May and he has become more comfortable in social settings, more confident in himself and has made friends! He is excited about the upcoming tournament season and hopes to compete! Thank you Mika Florida for your continued commitment to your students, our community, for providing a very affordable program,and for ensuring each student is valued for who they are, and the potential for what they can become! I have 3 children enrolled in MIKA Summer Camp. Their days are packed with activities and they always come home with exciting stories to share. It wasn't long before I noticed a positive difference in their home behavior and manners. The coaches are great and give regular feedback. I love when I see notes come home telling one of my kids that they had a great day. I am happy to be part of the MIKA Family!

My son started MIKA almost a year ago and we have loved it from the start. Sensei and Sempai are fantastic people and welcome you right from the start!! It is truly a family feeling at the dojo. They go out of there way to let you know they care; like showing up at award ceremonies, birthday parties and even to the hospital to meet the newest addition! We highly recommend MIKA to all :)

All three of my kids have been with MIKA for almost a year. My kids are very shy and like to stick to themselves a lot. They also have a lot of social anxiety. Since starting my girls have improved their school grades and shown more confidence in themselves. My son has had less anxiety since starting and they all three show great progress in their social interactions. My kids will continue with MIKA not only because of the confidence they have gained but also because they love it there. It is like an extended family and we are proud to be a part of that family!

Our kids have have only been to 2 classes and I am already being asked to go full-time we did the trial for six weeks we have a 10 year old 7 year old and a 5 year old they all enjoy it very much! As I sit and watch I see what they are learning and I know that it is something that every child needs better yet every person! Can't wait to see how my children grow with this school!
